Short version: this extension does not collect, store or send any personal data. Everything it does happens inside your own browser.

What the extension does

You enter words or phrases you want to avoid. After a page finishes loading, the extension reads the page's address, title, headings and visible text, inside your browser, to decide whether the page contains one of your phrases. If it does, the page is replaced with a block page. On YouTube, recommended videos whose titles contain one of your phrases are blanked out.

What is stored, and where

The only thing the extension stores is your list of phrases and the settings attached to each one (strict or relaxed matching, and any sites you limited it to). This list is kept in Chrome's extension storage. If you are signed in to Chrome with sync turned on, Chrome itself copies that storage to your other signed-in browsers under your Google account, in the same way it syncs your bookmarks. We never see it.

What is not collected

• No browsing history and no record of which pages were blocked.
• No page content leaves your browser.
• No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising identifiers.
• No accounts, no sign-up, no server of ours at all.

Permissions, in plain terms

• Access to websites you visit so the extension can read the page and compare it with your phrases. This happens locally.
• Storage to keep your phrase list.
• Navigation events so the extension notices when a site like YouTube moves to a new video without reloading the page, and checks again.

Reporting a bug

The "Report a bug" button opens a draft email in your own mail app. The draft is pre-filled with your browser name and version, your operating system, your interface language, the extension version and how many phrases you have. It never includes the phrases themselves, any page address or your history. You see the draft and decide whether to send it.

The "Support" button opens a third-party donation page in a new tab. That site has its own privacy policy, which applies once you are there.

Changes

If the extension ever starts handling data differently, this page will say so, with a new date at the top.
